We are living through difficult and uncertain times
In a president Obama's recent speech he declared that "we will rebuild, we will recover, and the united states of America will emerge stronger than before" As the national economy weaken, stock drop fifty percent of their peak, unemployment rate jump to 9 percent, monthly home sells back to its 1997 level and the consumer confidence hit its 41 year low, how is he able to bring us back to track. Surely, Obama has a great long term plan. His idea of change and the vision of renewable energy, health care reform, education and the new relationship with other nations inspires many of us. We believe him, support him and vote him because we have a strong faith that he can lead us to a new nation. But when it comes to organize and take action to our plan, we all have a difficult time, include Mr.obama. In long term how he will use part of the one trillion to fund infrastructure and build our new system. In short term, how he will deal with the worst economic crisis we haven't seen in decades. Those two questions will not only be the top task of Obama, but also a biggest question of many of us. With scare of resources, he has to organize them and allocate them to different project in order to archive his vision. I think it is a great real life example of four management step. Since we are at planning phrase, we have to wait and see how obama manage the nation

My Biggest Management Problem
As many other college students, my biggest problem is time management.Unlike high school where teachers give us assignments and collect it the day after, in college, Profs just hand out syllabus and we have to manage our own classwork. Suddenly, i feel like i have less in-class time, fewer homework to hand in and a great amount of freedom. Besides taking 5 classes per semester,i also get a part time job which i have to work 20 hours a week. Then i often find myself running out of time. it just seems to me that there's just never enough time in the day to get everything done. i not only have to meet the assignments' dateline, but also have to read a lot of books and prepare for exams.
in order to manage others, we have to manage ourself first. As the semester going on, i want to gain some knowledge about how to use time effectively. as a manager,we have to know what to work on and when it has to be done. it is a very important skill that we must to have in order to achieve anything. hopefully, at the end of semester, i will have a very good planing and controlling skill.

My first blog entry

As a new blogger, this is my very first entry. I want to use it to do some self-introduction and say hello to everyone who will read my blog. My name is Yongxiang jin, but my friends usually call me Jeffery because it is much easier to remember. I grew up in Shanghai, but four years ago my mum brought my sister and I to the United States. I spent four years studying in New York. This is my second year at Baruch College and I am planning on majoring in Accounting. I like reading, ski, and play some computer games in my spare time. On Sunday afternoon, at the movie theater, watching movie with my friends is an enjoyable moment in my life. Beside that, drinking a cup of tea, chatting with my friends is also a favor moment for me.
For most of the time, I don’t talk much because I like to let other people talk. Before the first management class, I never thought that everyone can be a manager. I always think a manager is a kind of person who is very talkative and like to control others. However, after the class, I realize that there is another way to look at management for which everyone can be some kind mangers. As an average person, we have to manage our time, life, work and relationships with others. I start to understand why Prof said that each of us has some good management skills.
I hope thought out the semester, I can learn more about management and be more creative.
